Laurence Fredricks

LGBTQ+ Officer

Laurence Fredricks

he/him1st year Land Economy

Hello! I am Laurence and I am the LGBT+ Officer for the JCR this year. I am a gay man but I am pushing to broaden representation of the whole LGBT+ community across college during my tenure. As representative for the community on the JCR level, I am here to tend to any issues regarding identity that fellow students may have. This is alongside hosting events and socials which will allow us to engage as a community and demonstrate our presence within, and outside of, college. As someone who believes in total acceptance, such events are open for both LGBT+ community identities, and allies alike. Catz is a wonderfully welcoming and accepting environment, and my purpose is to help maintain and advance this further by voicing LGBT+ concerns and interests in cooperation with other JCR members.
